An eventful African Union Summit concluded on Monday in Kigali, with a commitment to review the efficiency and financial independence of the African Union Commission.

But while the continent’s leaders adopted new funding models and lauded the launch of the body’s African passport, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma won’t be leaving Addis just yet, as no consensus could be reached on who will succeed her AUC chair.

And all the while, security crises continue in countries like South Sudan, Burundi, Libya and Mali. So in light of all this,  what were the main decisions taken at the 27th AU Summit in Kigali?
