A suicide bomber detonated his gear near a mosque in northern Cameroon, killing at least 10 people and injuring scores others, military officials have said.

The bomber blew himself up as Muslims gathered under a tent in Djakana town after breaking their fast yesterday evening, Reuters reports an official as saying.

According to the Cameroonian army, the bomber was a young boy.
