Sudan’s separation from South Sudan continues hurting its economy

Sudan’s latest troubles with its southern neighbour could prove to be yet another blow to the economy.

Sudan has threatened to close its border with South Sudan within days if its neighbour did not expel militant groups. Khartoum has been struggling for years now following the loss of oil revenue – and ongoing sanctions.

CCTV’s Jane Kiyo was in Khartoum, and takes a closer look at the country’s economic challenges.
