South Sudan : UN Calls For 30 Days Of Tranquility

We begin with the crisis in South Sudan. The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for a special tribunal for that country, saying there are grounds to believe crimes against humanity have been committed since widespread violence began five months ago. He warned that if violence isn’t halted in South Sudan, famine or mass deaths lie ahead. His remarks come as the ceasefire agreement, signed by the warring parties was broken hardly a couple of days later.
