South Sudan Faces Famine Threat

The United Nations has warned over 50,000 children under 5 years are likely to die of malnutrition in South Sudan.  S. Sudan is facing famine amid ongoing fighting between government and rebel forces loyal to former Vice President Riek Machar.  The UN also said up to one million people will starve unless immediate action is taken to avert the looming disaster.
