The International Olympics Committee (IOC) has unveiled a team of refugees who will compete at the Summer Olympic Games to be played in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

IOC named a team of ten athletes who will form the Refugee Team that will be treated ad all the other participating nations.

South Sudan will contribute the most athletes in the team, with 5 players drawn from the world’s youngest nation. 2 athletes will be refugees from Congo, 2 from Syria and one from Ethiopia.

The IOC in March gave the green light for the plan to have the refugees participate in the Summer Games.

The Refugee Team may be lined up second after hosts Brazil in the teams’ unveiling at the opening ceremony.
