South Korea opens the world’s fifth-highest skyscraper

Lotte World Tower, which opened on Monday in South Korea, is now world’s fifth-highest skyscraper.

The 123 floors and 1,819ft high are built on the banks of River Han in Seoul.

After almost seven years of planning the £2.8billion tower houses office space, luxury residence and a seven-star hotel.

It also boasts the world’s highest glass-bottomed observation deck and the world’s fastest elevator – taking visitors to the top in just one minute, The tower also claims to have the world’s highest swimming pool on the 85th floor, the Sun reports.
