South Africa’s reserve bank set to announce decision on interest rates

The South African reserve bank monetary policy committee meeting will announce its interest  rates decision on Thursday.

When the group last met, the impact of the firing of finance minister Nene was heavy on their minds.

The currency was still at near record low levels to the US dollar and the drought had started to affect food inflation.
