South African analysts weigh in on AB InBev bid

South African-British multinational brewing company SABMiller remains a takeover target for the world’s largest brewer Belgium based AB InBev. AB InBev has applied directly to SABMiller’s shareholders to back the bid, after SAB’s board rejected the offer.

Angelo Coppola reports that while some local analysts say the deal is good for SAB shareholders, others warn it will further erode South African investors stake in the company.
