South Africa staged an incredible comeback to beat Fiji 20-19 in the cup final and win the HSBC Singapore Sevens leg.
The Blitzboks were trailing 19-0 at the end of the first half.
Fiji took a strong lead into the break thanks to tries from Aminiasi Tuimaba, Napolioni Bolaca and Vilimoni Botitu. Bolaca successfully kicked two conversions.
The Blitzboks took time to get going in the second half before staging their remarkable comeback.
Quick-fire tries from Kurt-Lee Arendse, Angelo Davids and Ryan Oosthuizen and a conversion from Selvyn Davids brought the Blitzboks to within two points of Fiji.
Selvyn Davids then slotted a penalty right in front of the posts to give the Blitzboks a 20-19 lead with seconds left on the clock.
South Africa then held off Fiji to record a memorable victory.
The win sees South Africa claim their second tournament win of the HSBC Sevens Series after their triumph in Vancouver.
South Africa sits in fourth place in the World Series standings with 121 points while Fiji is second with 142 points. The United States lead the standings with 145 points.
