South Africa Container Clinics
In South Africa, What once were cast-off shipping containers, they have been re-purposed, repainted and kitted out as a full-on community clinic. One is owned by a local community nurse.
A lot for people pay far less than they’d pay for private care, thus helping in making health care easily accessible. Each visit costs around ten to 15 dollars.
The company behind the idea has already set up 16 of these clinics around Johannesburg. It’s now planning to open 90 across the country.
