Somalia’s security agency has a man in custody believed to be a prominent member of militant group Al-Shabaab. Meanwhile, a mortar attack has been reported in the capital Mogadishu, and the city is under lockdown.

The man was apparently responsible for preparing and detonating landmines and other explosives for the group.

According to Somali security services, the Al-Shabaab operative said he came from one of the refugee camps in Kenya. Meanwhile, Somalia has placed bounties on the heads of 11 top Al-Shabaab commanders, including spokesperson Ali Mohamud Rage, and the Garissa attack suspected mastermind Mohamed Mohamud.
