Arsenal began their new Premier League campaign on a sore note as they fell at home to Liverpool by 4-3.

The nerve-chilling game saw Arsenal go ahead in the 3ist minute through Theo Walcott, just one minute after he missed a penalty awarded after Alberto Moreno fouled him inside the 18 yard box.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool equalized on the stroke of half-time through a superb Countinho free kick that hit the top left back of the net.

Liverpool came back from the half-time break and resumed just as they had ended the first half, adding three more goals through Lallana, Countinho and Mane to take their tally to 4 goals.

Arsenal rallied to pull two goals back through Oxlade-Chamberlain and Chambers, but that was not enough to save them from a first loss of the season, one handed to them right in front of their own fans.
