Senate Speaker chosen ahead of election of Somalia’s president

Somalia has once again made progress in picking its new government.

A 54-member upper house of parliament, a first for the East African nation on Sunday picked a speaker and two deputies as the country prepares to elect a new president who will serve a four year term.
