Scores feared dead in twin blasts in Nigeria
Scores of worshippers are feared dead following twin blasts in the Nigerian town of Mubi in Adamawa state, located to the northeast of Nigeria.
According to local reports, the Tuesday afternoon blasts targeted a mosque as Muslims were preparing for afternoon prayers.
While details remain sketchy at this time, our correspondent in Nigeria Deji Badmus reports that one of the explosions was triggered by a teenage boy who set off his suicide vest.
Last November, more than 50 people were killed when a suspected Boko Haram militant detonated a suicide bomb outside a mosque in the same town.
Boko Haram has waged a decade-long war in the West African country, aiming to topple the government and instil an extreme jihadist system of governance.
