Schoolboy armed with gun and grenades arrested in France after attack
French police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in the southern town of Grasse after he launched an attack at his school, targeting the principal.
The boy is said to have been armed with three guns and two grenades at Tocqueville high school, where he was a student.
Anti-terrorist commandos from the elite Raid force were sent to the scene.
The headmaster is said to have been injured alongside at least two other people.
The government minister for victims affairs, Juliette Meadel, said via social media that all students were safe, adding her thoughts were with the parents of the two people injured in the attack.
Local media reported that there was a second shooter who was on the run, but this remains unconfirmed.
There have been no links established between the shooter and any extremists group.
