SA’s former President Thabo Mbeki calls for open debate on racism

Former President Thabo Mbeki has called for an open debate on racism. Addressing the South African Human Rights Commission Conference on Racism in Midrand, Mbeki challenged the country to reflect on racism and find solutions.

The Commission’s second decade of existence comes at a time when the country has been rocked by racial turmoil.
