American actress Sandra Bullock has raised more than 80,000 USD for charity  by selling off 10 Minion themed pairs of Rupert Sanderson-designed heels (that were inspired by the film) at auction, raising $42,425 for the charity Art + Practice.

The final amount from the auction, which took place on Charitybuzz.com, was match-funded by Bullock, reports People, bringing the total to $84,850.

“When you discover people who are truly giving back, and taking care of our community, I think it’s our duty to support and take care of them in return,” Bullock was quoted saying about the charity that encourages education and culture for foster youth in the Leimert Park district of Los Angeles in the US.
