Salah out of Champions League semifinal second leg against Barcelona

Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah will miss Liverpool’s Champions League semifinal second leg against Spanish league champions, Barcelona.
Manager Jürgen Klopp confirmed the news in a statement posted on the club’s official website.
Salah was forced from the pitch with a head injury following an aerial collision with Newcastle United keeper Martin Dubravka during Saturday’s 3-2 victory at St. James’ Park.

Liverpool did not say whether Salah will be available for Liverpool’s final Premier League game with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Liverpool lost their semifinal first leg 3-0 at the Camp Nou and will be hoping for a memorable comeback such as the one they staged against AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League final.
Liverpool will also miss the services of Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino, who is continuing to recover from a muscle injury.
Liverpool’s announcement came shortly after Salah was voted the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Premier League Player of the Month for April.
