Safaricom to roll out mobile money service across Africa

Read < 1 minute

Safaricom is set to launch its mobile money model in several countries in Africa.

The M-Pesa service has grown exponentially in Kenya since it was launched in 2007. The model has been so successful that it’s being used as a case study for other countries where there’s a need to create easy access to financial services.

CCTV’s South Africa correspondent Sumitra Nydoo is here in Nairobi to test it out.
