Rwanda, Ethiopia sign deal to allow their national carriers to operate without restrictions
Rwanda and Ethiopia have signed an air service agreement that will open their airspace and allow their national carriers to operate without restrictions.
The deal signed between the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority and Ethiopia Civil Aviation Authority, all air service operations will be conducted under the fifth freedom arrangement.
This means an airline has the right to carry passengers from one country to another and from that country to a third country.
The airlines can also operate unlimited frequencies per week for both passenger and cargo services.
Rwanda has so far signed similar agreements with 37 countries in Africa and elsewhere.
