Ruling ANC party’s Women’s League backs Dlamini-Zuma for President

Read < 1 minute

African Union Commission chair Dr Dlamini-Zuma has gotten a significant boost on the South African political front.

The ANC Women’s League is endorsing her to become the party’s next leader. Should she win the position, it’s likely she’ll be the next President of South Africa. The ANC Women’s League says Dlamini-Zuma is the bext candidate to lead the ruling party. The ANC will in December choose a new leader. She’ll likely face some competition, though, from current Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Neither of them has officially declared their intention to run for the presidency yet.
