The Portuguese soccer star unveiled his collection CR7 Footwear saying the opportunity to release the smart shoe collection is a dream come true for him .
The sportsman has teamed up with Portugal Footwear to create the line of modern yet classic styles.
He is quoted by the Herald.com as saying: “Launching my own smart footwear collection is a dream come true. I’m very proud that our CR7 Footwear collection uses only the finest locally sourced materials with designs hand-crafted in Portugal by a team of truly talented craftsmen.
“It was amazing to see the level of detail and dedication that went into the process of making the shoes up untill the final product. My feet are my working tool, therefore I only wear the best. I want to share that opportunity with others – I want them to shine in my shoes!”
Ronaldo,30 who was crowned the winner of the Ballon d’Or, previously launched his CR7 underwear and shirt lines, loves swapping his football boots for smart styles when he is off the pitch.
He said: “I really enjoyed launching my CR7 Underwear and Shirts ranges, and we’ve had a really great response, so for me extending the brand into formal footwear was very natural.
