Manchester United player Robin van Persie has hinted at joining Juventus regardless of their weekend defeat by Barcelona.

Sources say 32 year old Van Persie looks tired of being benched by coach Luis Van Gal saying he does not want to become a super substitute.

The player revealed that he still communicates with his long time friend and team mate  Patrice Evra, who was in the Juventus starting line-up when they lost the Champions League final against Barcelona on Saturday.

Speaking to Dutch media last week, Van Persie revealed how former team-mate Patrice Evra had been providing him insights about Juventus.

The 31-year-old is looking for assurances from boss Louis van Gaal that he will not be reduced to an impact role off the bench next season, a similar type of role to the one that frustrated loan signing Radamel Falcao in 2014-15.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the Italian double winners are keen on a deal for the 32-year-old.

He said: “I’m still in touch with Patrice Evra and he tells me about the way they work.
