Rescue services continue in Nigeria following the collapse of a three-storey building in Lagos.

Reports indicate that as many as 100 children may be trapped in the rubble alongside other people, though some have already been rescued. Others have however been pronounced dead.

The incident occurred on Wednesday in a densely-populated part of the city.

“We have rescued about 25 people, some already dead,” governor Akinwunmi Ambode said.

The rescue services and locals have teamed up to rescue those trapped in the collapsed building, and ambulances have been ferrying those rescued to hospitals.

The building housed a primary school and a kindergarten, believed to be attended by around 100 children.
