In a telephone call to a nightly talk show El Sisi stressed that the Egyptian army is very well prepared. He also warned militant groups from attempting to approach Egypt.  Adel EL Mahrouky with more.

For years Egypt has warned the world that focusing the war on terror in Syria only would yield to catastrophic consequences in Libya.

As the world watches the recent developments in Tunisia’s Ebn Guerdan with fear, EL Sisi tells world powers “I told you so.”
But the president didn’t want Egyptians to be alarmed by his statements.

He shaded lights on the daily special forces and Air-Forces operations on the Libyan borders, stressing that the Army bombs vehicles attempting to smuggle weapons into Egypt on daily basis.

Egypt is planning to renew its calls to the UN security council to lift the arms embargo over the internationally recognized Libyan government.

A step Cairo believes is crucial to freeze what many see as a frightening expansion of the Islamic State.
