Serb pilot Vlatko Vodopivec has described the Mogadishu airport security as zero adding that the facility is “chaotic”.
Vodopivec says he never doubted that the large hole in the plane fuselage was caused by a bomb.
After initially saying there was no sign of foul play, Somali officials said on Saturday that a suicide bomber was suspected to have set off the explosive inside the plane.
They said the blast sucked a male passenger out of the plane on Tuesday and forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Somalia’s capital.
The pilot said Somali investigators initially tried to put the blame on his airline.
