Read < 1 minute

Ghana is proud of its legacy of peace and stability when it comes to elections.

In Accra, the outgoing administration has held talks with the transitional team handling the exchange of power. Long-time opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo was announced the winner of the presidential elections last week. He replaces John Mahama.

By law, the outgoing government must have handed over all its responsibilities by the end of December.
