
Our athletes don’t need drugs to win, President Kenyatta says as he hands over flag to #RioOlympics team
Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta today officially handed over the country’s flag to the team selected to represent the nation at the upcoming Rio Olympics Games.
In a short ceremony held at the State House grounds, the president urged all Kenyans to throw their support for the athletes while in Rio.
Shortly after, the president in a tweet said his country’s athletes did not use performance enhancing drugs, and urged the athletes to show the world that they win clean.

Some of the athletes present were 2012 Summer Olympics 3,000 metres steeplechase winner Ezekiel Kemboi, African and Commonwealth javelin record holder Julius Yegon and the rugby sevens team among others.
The 2016 Olympic Games begin on 5 August in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
