Oscar Pistorius’ Murder Verdict due on Thursday
South African paralympian Oscar Pistorius could end up back in jail if the South African Supreme Court of Appeal overturns his conviction for manslaughter.
The court has said that it will announce its decision on whether it will overturn Pistorius’ conviction for manslaughter on Thursday.
The paralympian was transferred to house arrest in October after serving one year of his five-year term for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The 29-year old shot his former model girlfriend through a locked door in 2013 but insists that he thought she was an intruder.
The prosecution has argued that the notion of whoever was behind the door is irrelevant, and that Pistorius’ intent was to kill.
