Oscar Pistorius could be sent back to jail
South African Paralympian Oscar Pistorius woes are far from over.
The country’s prosecutors have started an appeal hearing on whether the athlete should be convicted of murder instead of culpable homicide.
Pistorius was released from Prison into house arrest last month after serving one year of his five-year sentence for killing his former girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
The 28 year-old double amputee was accused of shooting Reeva through a locked bathroom door in 2013, allegations he denied claiming he thought she was an intruder.
If the appeal judges find succeed in overturning the original verdict, Pistorius could be sent back to jail.
He is currently serving his house arrest and will not attend the hearing in Bloemfontein.
