Number of rhinos killed in South Africa significantly reduced in 2015

Read < 1 minute

New statistics on rhino poaching released by the South Africa’s National Parks Board show a drop for the first time in a decade.

A total of 1,175 rhinos were poached across South Africa in 2015, compared to 1,215 for the year before-the majority of which were killed in the country’ Kruger National Park.

While the new numbers are encouraging, there is concern this may be just a temporary lull.

CCTV’s Travers Andrews has our  report.
