Nigerians anxious over ties with new U.S. administration

Relations between Nigeria and the U.S. were muted under the Obama presidency, due to human rights issues and the fight against Boko Haram.

But relations had begun to improve with the election of Muhammadu Buhari and it was hoped a Democrat would succeed Obama to continue this trend. But with the inauguration of President Trump could this relationship come under threat?
