Nigerian Victor Moses a major doubt for Chelsea in Manchester City clash
Chelsea’s Nigerian midfielder Victor Moses is a major doubt to face Manchester City as the Blues seek to get back to winning ways following their 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has been out of action for the Londoners since their 2-1 win over Stoke City in mid-March.
The injury also meant Moses did not participate in Nigeria’s game played during the international break.
The Nigerian was absent from Chelsea’s training on Monday, and is said to be out of contention for a starting berth in the mouth-watering clash tomorrow.
In his absence, Spanish midfielder Pedro deputized for him at the wing-back position as Conte stuck to his 3-4-3 system.
Moses has been a key contributor to Chelsea’s title-charge, with the Blues standing seven points ahead of second placed Tottenham Hotspurs.
Their opponents for tomorrow’s game Manchester City will are 11 points behind the leaders, currently standing at position four.
Victor Moses has found the back of the net four times and assisted twice in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
