Nigerian Under-23 forward Bright Enobakhare joined Greek side AEK Athens on a three-year deal, the club announced.

The 22-year-old joins from English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, whom he had been with since 2014 when he joined the club’s academy. Enobakhare left the club in May by mutual consent.

“Bright, welcome to ΑΕΚ FC family!” a statement on the club’s website said.

Enobakhare played 27 times for Wolves’ U-23 side scoring nine goals and providing four assists. He registered three goals and one assist in 49 appearances with the first team.

The striker said he was looking to make an impact at the club and develop his career.

“It is a great move and I am happy to be here. To be honest, I searched the internet, like YouTube, for how the team plays and trains, and I think it will fit my gameplay,” he said.

“So I’m happy to be here. I don’t want to talk about myself so much, I think the stadium will ‘talk’ about me.”

Enobakhare has also played for other British clubs while on loan from Wolves, namely: Kilmarnock, Coventry City and Wigan Athletic.
