
Nigerian President expected to return from sick leave soon

Nigeria’s acting President- the vice President -Yemi Osinbanjo has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will be returning to the West African nation soon, reports local media.
“We should expect him back very shortly because he is recuperating very fast and very, very well,” said Osinbajo after making an abrupt trip to London to visit the ailing President late Tuesday and returned to Abuja early Wednesday.
Osinbanjo added, “So we had a very good time, we had a good conversation on wide-ranging issues, he is in a very good spirit he is recuperating very quickly and he is doing very well.”
President Buhari went for medical attention in London on the May 7th and left the Vice President in charge of the country. Before that the 74 year old leader had left Nigeria on the 19th of January and returned on the 10th of March still for medical treatment. The Presidential spokesperson has said that there is ‘no cause for worry.’
The length of the President’s stay in London will be determined by the doctors. The government will continue to function normally under the able leadership of the Vice President,” presidential spokesman Femi Adesina said in a statement.
