Nigerian Oshoala nominated for BBC Woman’s Footballer of the Year Award

Nigerian, Oshoala Lamina has been nominated for the BBC Woman’s Footballer of the Year Award.

Oshaoala is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays for Liverpool ladies. She was the best player and highest goal scorer at the 2014 FIFA U- 20 Women;s World Cup.

She will be contenting against four other players;  Brazil’s Marta, Spain’s Veronica Boquete, Sccotland’s Kim Little and Germany’s Nadine Kessler.

Oshoala also emerged asthe Most Valuable Player of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada last year.

According to BBC World Service yesterday, the winner will be revealed on May 26 after being decided by a public vote.

The winner will be decided by readers around the world through online voting, either through the website or by  texting  the number of the player.

Oshoala Lamina was very excited to have been nominated for the award.
