Nigerian government sues oil firms for theft of crude worth $12 billion

Nigerian government is suing several oil companies for theft of crude amounting to 12 billion dollars.

Papers filed in the country’s high court claim the illegal exports were carried out between 2011 and 2014, just before global crude oil markets plummeted.
