Nigerian forces re-establish control of recaptured towns
Nigerian forces there are seeking to return the rule of law to towns seized from Boko Haram. The forces are said to be in full of control of all seized territories, including Baga town. They are currently conducting final mopping-up exercises
Retaking Baga, a strategic town at Nigeria’s border with Chad, Niger and Cameroon, is a significant victory in the offensive. It’s also the headquarters of a multinational force of troops from all four countries. Backed by air strikes and its allies, Nigeria has in the past few weeks seized several towns and villages formerly controlled by Islamist group Boko Haram
