A Nigerian drug lord who was deported in 2013 by Kenya was arrested in the country’s capital on Wednesday after sneaking back into the country.

Emmanuel Peter Lovembe was deported back to his country following a presidential order. He had been arrested and deported in June 2013 along with Anthony Chinedu for being involved in narcotics trafficking.

The Daily Nation reports that the suspect was picked up from the Kayole Police Station on Thursday morning by detectives from the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit and the Anti-Narcotics Unit for interrogation.

Mr Chinedu had also sneaked back into the east African nation and was arrested in Donholm, Nairobi. He was arrested along with a Kenyan woman, Virginia Wakini, who had just arrived from Tanzania via the Namanga border point, when police raided their house.

He confessed that he entered Kenya through Namanga using different identification documents.
