Nigeria to establish new rules for unmanned aircraft
Nigeria plans to license drones for both commercial and private purposes under new regulations.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has already proposed rules for the integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace. Individuals and companies in Africa’s most populous country have expressed interest in the use of drones in agriculture and power-line inspections.
The unmanned aircraft can also be used for monitoring pipelines and storage tanks in the oil and gas industries.
