Nigeria telecommunication operators are seeking to block voice calls on instant messaging applications in an aggressive move to stem revenue loss.

Operators in Africa’s largest market are projecting an estimated loss of over $300 billion by the end of 2018 if instant messaging application or over the top internet services are not capped.
