After 17 years, the Nokia 3310 is back with its old features that made it so famous and a mix of some upgrades to make it a bit modern friendly.

First launched in 2000, the Nokia 3310 featured a small monochrome display and was known for its long battery life. The revamped phone is a slimmer version, with a slightly bigger screen and has a color screen plus a 2 megapixel camera, but many of the phone’s basic features remain.

The new Nokia 3310 will sell for about 52 dollars. The phone will have original games such as Snake no WiFi, no GPS & no app store. .The phone also has the regular Micro-USB port and ditches the pin charger

“The new 3310 is about half the thickness of the original and has 10 times the talk time, with 22 hours, and twice the standby time: one month – a duration almost unheard-of in 2017.” Saus a report by the guardian

For 2017, Nokia and HMD have modernized the design and hardware.

A Finnish company, HMD Global , unveiled a range of new phones which included a redesign of the classic Nokia 3310 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Sunday.

The re-release of the Nokia 3310, a lower-cost feature phone is a push to revive Nokia’s glory days as a global mobile producer according to Bloomberg.

“There is a segment of the population that just wants a basic phone. From the stereotype of builder that just wants to call and text and if it gets broken it doesn’t matter, to the festival phone and the backup phone.” CCS Insight’s Ben Wood said
