Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Africa has no better friend that Israel for the practical needs of security and development.

Netanyahu is in Kenya on the second day of his four-day visit to Africa, after spending his first day in Uganda where he met the East African regional leaders for a security meeting.

The Israeli premier met with Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta in the capital, Nairobi, where they discusses issues such as counter terrorism, energy and agriculture.

In exchange for its expertise in security and other fields, Israel now wants African states to side with it at the United Nations, where the General Assembly overwhelmingly recognized Palestine as a non-member observer state in 2012.

Netanyahu will also visit Rwanda and Ethiopia during his stay in the continent.
