Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi continued his fine form at German side Borussia Dortmund netting the second goal in his team’s 2-0 victory away at VfL Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday.

Hakimi’s strike was his fourth in 27 Bundesliga matches and eighth in all competitions this season. His performances since he joined from Real Madrid on a two-year loan in 2018 have seen him establish himself as an “irreplaceable member” of the first team, according to the club.

This was Dortmund’s second win from two games following the resumption of the football season in Germany which is being played behind closed doors among other strict regulations. Dortmund lies in second place on 57 points after 27 games, four points off the top of the table.

Dortmund next faces the defending champions and league leaders Bayern Munich in a top-of-the-table clash at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.
