Morocco condemns Israel’s plan to annex Jordan valley
Morocco on Thursday condemned “in the strongest terms” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to annex the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank if he wins re-election.

Morocco’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that this announcement is a “dangerous escalation and a new violation of international law and the resolutions of the international community.”
The international community, meanly the members of the UN Security Council, should act urgently to prevent the violation of the Palestinian rights, and to preserve the chances of achieving the two-state solution and to guarantee security and stability in the region, it added.
Morocco reaffirms its constant and continuous support for the Palestinian people, and its rejection of any violation of their inalienable rights, the statement said.
On Tuesday, Netanyahu pledged to to annex a key part of the occupied West Bank if re-elected. Israel occupied the West Bank in the 1967 Six-Day War and also seized part of the Golan Heights from Syria.
