Moroccan king pardons 350 prisoners on Eid al-Adha

granted pardon to 350 prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Adha holiday, said a statement from the Moroccan justice ministry on Sunday.

Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world.

According to the statement, 315 prisoners had their prison terms reduced, 16 prisoners benefited from pardon over their remaining prison terms, and the others had their fines annulled, the statement added.

Eid al-Adha is celebrated on Monday in Morocco.
