Montreal Impact confirms Chelsea interest in Drogba
Major League side, Montreal Impact has confirmed that it is in talks with English premier league champions Chelsea over the future of striker Didier Drogba.
The club confirmed on its social media page that talks are currently going on over the issue.
The African star has been linked with a move back to his former club and watched Chelsea’s win over Sunderland last Saturday with interim manager Guus Hiddink and owner Roman Abramovich.
Montreal say Drogba has expressed a desire to help his old club, adding that despite Drogba’s attachment to the Stamford Bridge, they would wish to have him back with the team for another season.
The Ivorian footballer spent nine years at Stamford Bridge in two spells, first representing the club between 2004 and 2012 before rejoining them last season.
