Mnangagwa promises to give Zimbabwe’s idle land to the youth if elected

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has promised to distribute unused farms to the country’s youth and its causing quite a stir.

“The land audit which is currently under way will solve the land crisis we face today. The youths and war veterans want a significant share of the land. They have put across their grievances so they will benefit mostly,” Mnangagwa said.

The Zimbabwe government is in the process of of repossessing all under-utilized farms that were forcibly taken from white farmers under the land reform programme, the president said.
