Miss Uganda Pageant: “Beauty is far more than skin- deep”
Uganda has crowned its next national beauty. Zahara Muhammed Nakiya beat 20 other finalists for the crown on Friday evening at the Miss Uganda finale that took place at Kampala Serena hotel.
Among the competitors is a very special lady determined to prove that beauty is far more than skin- deep.
Aisha Nabukeera, was scalded with burning paraffin by her step mother 9 years ago. But the scars have not stopped her from contesting for Miss Uganda title.
Aisha a victim of child abuse whose skin was left burnt at a tender age missed a chance to make it the top five after failing to answer a question right in the contest.
Despite the mishap, she was named as the Miss Rising woman.
